Robert L. Brown

Robert L. Brown, 78, of Findlay, passed away Friday, August 4, 2017 at St. Vincent Medical Center. He was born in Carey, Ohio on March 16, 1939 to the late Columbus and Reva (May) Brown. Robert had 5 children (Bobby, Nick, Bonnie, Corrine, and Tony) prior to marrying the love of his life, the late Mary A. Brown and they shared 35 wonderful years together. Robert retired from his own construction business of B & B Construction that he loved doing after 30 years of service. He enjoyed years of traveling to Vegas, fixing up depreciated homes, watching NASCAR and football, and spending time with his family. Robert is survived by his wife's children, Paul (Joe) Hoffbauer Jr., Joyce Gossard, and Ronald (Kristi) Hoffbauer Sr.; 9 grandchildren, Jereme, Joshua, Danny Hoffbauer, Jordan Howard, Robert (Sara) and Tyra Gossard, Nathan, Ronald Jr. (Annie) and Nicole Hoffbauer; 13 great-grandchidren; and 2 great-great grandchild. He is also survived by 8 brothers and sisters, Ruth Prater, Nora Smarr, Charlie (Judy) Brown, Carolyn (Danny) Rice, Melvin (Pam) Brown, Marsha (Wayne) Schlosser, Rick Brown, and Cindy Fry. At Robert's request, there will be no visitation. Funeral services will be private. HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500) has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Hufford Family Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.
