Robert D. "Bob" Hildebrand

Robert “Bob” Dean Hildebrand, 71, of Findlay, passed away on October 5, 2025, surrounded by his beloved family and embraced by his faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

He was born in Findlay to Henry and Maxine (Brown) Hildebrand on May 10, 1954. On December 13, 1975, Bob was united in marriage to Kimberly “Kim” Rousey. Together they built a home and raised their two daughters.

Bob was an active member of Parkview Christian Church, where he served as a bass guitarist in the Praise Band. Having begun playing the bass guitar at age 14, Bob joined in numerous musical groups throughout his career, including the Bruce Band, Ebenezer, and the Christian band Final Chapter, to name a few. After spending 25 years as an electrician at Ball Metal, Bob retired.

He enjoyed helping everyone he could, especially his family. Bob enjoyed taking long drives to explore and get lost with his wife Kim. As a devoted husband, an encouraging father, and a grandfather with a spirit for adventure, he touched the lives of those around him.

Those left behind to cherish Bob’s memory are his loving wife Kim; his two beloved daughters, Jessica (Jonathan) Grennell, and Jennifer (Jared) Bowdish; three special grandchildren, Oliver Bowdish, Hendrick Bowdish, and Franklin Grennell. In addition, he is survived by his sister, Martha Depuy, his brother, Thomas “Tom” Hildebrand, and too many cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends to mention each by name.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Clarence Hildebrand, and George Hildebrand; and sisters, Carolyn Logsdon, and Mary Richardson.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be held Friday, Ocotober 17, 2025, from 5 – 8 p.m. at Parkview Christian Church, 15035 OH-12, Findlay, 45840.
