Rose M. Velasquez

Rose Mary Velasquez, 58, of Findlay, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Lima Memorial Hospital. She was born September 2, 1960 in Lima, Ohio to Isabel and Herminia (Bejarano) Baldazo. On April of 1983, Rose was united in marriage to Oscar Velasquez, a marriage that would last 35 years. Rose was a 1978 graduate of Continental High School and attended Ohio Northern University. She was a member of Upper Room Church of God where she was secretary and treasurer of the ladies ministry. Rose enjoyed helping out at the Heritage Christian School for many years. Rose is survived by her husband, Oscar; her loving daughter, Nydia Rose Velasquez of Findlay. She is also survived by brothers, Arnulfo (Kathy) Baldazo of Lima, Martin (Akeisha) Baldazo of Dallas, GA; sister, Maria Pena of Columbus. She was preceded in death by father, Isabel and mother, Herminia; two sisters, Suelema Pardo and Florlinda Alvarado. Friends and family may visit on Friday, January 18, 2019 from 5 - 7 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A Celebration of Life will be held at Upper Room Church of God on Saturday, January 19th with visitation (11-12 p.m.) prior to the service. Bishop Terry McBeath to officiate. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Rose's name may be made to the Family in c/o Hufford Family Funeral Home.
