Roy Thomas Roller, 79, of Findlay, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2025. Roy was a father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was born April 10, 1945, to James and Violet (Cavver) Roller in Toledo, Ohio. Roy was a mechanical fabricator by trade. Outside of work, he had an enthusiasm for life that was reflected in his love for NASCAR racing, Boy Scouts of America and baseball. Roy was known for his captivating storytelling, often sharing tales that were sometimes over the top but never less than enthralling. His stories blended humor and wisdom, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met.
In his last hours, Roy’s greatest gift was the opportunity he created for his children to come together as a family, assisting him on his journey home. This reconciliation allowed them to forge deeper bonds, sharing love and support during a crucial time.
Roy is survived by his children, Elisabeth Roller, Adam (Allison) Roller, Christina (Larry) Nelson, and Tony (Katrina) McAfee. He was the grandfather to Addison and Andrew G. Roller, and to Crystal, Victoria, and Candice Nelson. Roy is also survived by his sister, Linda Reynolds, and countless great grandchildren, family, and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents and his son, Andrew T. Roller, whose memory remained close to his heart.
In addition to his family, Roy was a devoted companion to Lady, his beloved cat, who provided him comfort and joy in his last years. A celebration of Roy’s life will be held at a later date. HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500) is honored to serve Roy’s family.
In lieu of donations, the family kindly asks that you embrace love and reconciliation in your own lives, finding joy in the connections you share with others and cherishing the peace that life brings.
