Sandra L. Muntz

Sandra L. Muntz, 72, of Mt. Blanchard was called home to the Lord on Friday, July 22, 2022. Sandra was born on January 19, 1950 in Kenton, Ohio to Roy Robert Downey and Marjorie Marie (Coats) Downey. She married Raymond A. Haugh in 1975 and they later divorced. She married Dean L. “Dino” Muntz on September 1, 1990. They were married for 31 years.

Sandra was a 1968 graduate of Belle Center High School. She worked at North Electric in Kenton, RCA/GE/Harris/Intersil in Findlay, and BioLife Plasma Services in Findlay. She volunteered for the Red Cross, Girl Scouts, Cancer Patient Services, and Read for Life. She enjoyed watching the birds and the deer, reading, crocheting, gardening, watching Sprint Car and NASCAR races, and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events. Sandra was a 31 year breast cancer survivor.

Sandra is survived by her husband, children Amber (Shawn) Hirt, Jennifer (Andy) Risner, Susan (David Yoder) Haugh, Cindy (Shawn Huston) Haugh, Brad (Cathy) Muntz, and Todd Muntz, grandchildren Josh, Emily, Ben, Justin, Audrey, Chasity (Chase), Jocelyn, Blaine, Liam, Alex, Heidi, Rileigh, and Rachel, and brother James Robert (Joyce) Downey. She had 5 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Katheryn “Ann” and brother-in-law Jimmy Corwin, as well as grandparents James Robert and Letitia (Coy) Downey and William Tell and Leona (Fogle) Coats.

Friends and family may visit from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 28, 2022, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 29 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Christian Dittmar officiating. Interment will follow at Lee Cemetery in Amanda Township.
