Sarah R. Thornton

Sarah Thornton, 50, born July 30, 1974, to Kitrina Schwab and Irving Thornton (both deceased) in Findlay, Ohio, passed away January 16, 2025.

Sarah was loved by many and loved many. She was outgoing, loving, and very caring. She always had ways of doing things and making sure the people around her were always happy. Sarah was an amazing mother, sister, aunt, niece, and cousin. Being a mother came first for her. Sarah would have wanted nobody to be sad but keep smiling and be happy. She was one of a kind and will be missed dearly.

Sarah is survived by her son Cody Heinze; five siblings, Callie Thornton, Ms. Larina (Jordan) Bivins, Tyler Thompson, Gary Lee Thompson, and Ryan Thornton; aunts, Brenda Scarberry, and David (April) Edens; nephews and nieces, Brendon Peterson and family, Portia Ballard and her child, and Jayde Ballard, Madison Ernest, Blake, Ryan, Deriek, Kayla, and Sophia Thompson. In addition, many cousins and extended aunts and uncles.

Proceeding in death are not only her parents, but her beautiful bouncing boy, Jevin Thornton, and sisters, Lori Thompson, and Renee Thornton.

Friends and family who wish to honor Sarah may visit from 1-3 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2025, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500). Sarah’s memorial service will begin at 3 p.m. following visitation with Pastor Jim Klausing officiating.

Memorial contributions in Sarah’s name may be made to the funeral home.

A heart of gold stopped beating. Working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us that he only takes the best. Leaves and flowers may wither. The golden sun may set. But the hearts that loved you dearly are the ones that won’t forget.
