Shirley A Mercer

Shirley A. Mercer, 76, of Findlay, passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Fox Run Assisted Living. She was born April 28, 1945 in Findlay to the late Virgil L. and Betty J. (Garn) Sloman. On August 7, 1965, Shirley married Richard Mercer and he survives.

Shirley was a homemaker and a member of Stonebridge Church of God.

Shirley is survived by her loving husband Richard of 55 years; sons, Richard E. (Shelly) Mercer of Findlay, Randall L. (Rachel) Mercer of Upper Sandusky; and daughter, Lorinda K.(Allan) Hartley of Findlay; 9 grandchildren, Ritchie Mercer, Andrew Mercer, Allan Hartley Jr., Ashley Hartley, Chelsea Hartley, Chad Hartley, all of Findlay, Morgann Smith of McComb, Reid Mercer of Atlanta, GA, and Mollie Mercer of Upper Sandusky; and 2 great-grandchildren, Emerson Mercer, and Iris Anne Smith. In addition, she is also survived by brothers, Jerry (Patti) Sloman of Findlay, Bill (Mary) Sloman of East Peoria, IL; sisters, Karen (Terry Feller) Sloman, Barb Pingle, and Carol(Tom) Thompson, all of Findlay.

Friends and family may visit from 10-12p.m. on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A funeral service will follow visitation at 12 p.m. in the funeral home at with Pastor Michael Wise officiating. Interment will be held in Knollcrest Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Shirley’s name may be made to Southern Care Hospice or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
