Shirley A. Miller

Shirley Ann Miller, age 88, of Van Buren, went to her eternal home May 13, 2023, at Bridge Hospice Care Center. She was born October 13, 1934, in Findlay, to Lawrence H. and Martha E. (Burnap) Mains.

Shirley was a Findlay High School graduate. She went on to work as a secretary in a law firm for Stan Needles, retiring after several years of service. For years, she served as secretary for the Allen Township Trustees and was a member of Salem Cass United Methodist Church in Findlay. Shirley was an avid collector of Hot Wheels, Stamps, and enjoyed cross stitching.  She was a proud supporter of the Hancock County Sheriff’s K-9 Unit for many years.

Shirley is survived by her four sons, Bruce Miller of Columbus, Jon (Julie) Miller of Findlay, Jamie (Mary) Miller of Findlay, and Tom (Amanda) Miller of Mt. Blanchard; one daughter, Rhonda (Jeff) Robinson of Findlay; eight grandchildren, Hillary, Evan, Jared, Brady, Austin, Dustin, Brooklynn, and Miranda; five great-grandchildren, Maggie, Ben, James, Tyler, and Georgia. She is also survived by three brothers, David, Tom, and John; and five sisters, Janette, Mary, Helen, Beverly, and Judy. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Duane, Robert, and Paul; and sister, Sue.

Shirley’s memorial service will be 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Salem United Methodist Church, 4699 County Road 236, Findlay, OH 45840 with Rev. Ray Kane officiating. The family will receive friends at 4 p.m. until the time of service. Dinner will follow at 6 p.m. at the church. Memorial contributions in Shirley’s name may be made to Salem United Methodist Church.
