Steven J. Rayle, 61, of Findlay, passed away with his family by his side at 2:15 p.m. on Monday, July 4, 2016 at his residence. Steven was born on April 7, 1955 to the late Howard and Kathryn (Williams) Rayle. Steven married his wife Connie on April 9, 1977. Steven served his country in the U.S. Navy, and worked at Copco until there closing. He also worked with Century Marketing. Steven was a member of the Howard United Methodist Church, a Cub Scout leader through the Salvation Army, was an Eagle Scout. He enjoyed spending time with his family and children, fishing, NASCAR, watching NFL games and going to the "coffee shop" to spend time with his friends. There he was known as "Charlie". He graduated from Findlay High School in 1973 where he was a record holder with the swim team. Steven is survived by his wife of 39 years Connie (Dysert) Rayle, children, Gregory Rayle, Andrew Rayle, Amber (Scott) Booher, Melissa (Josh) Shuck, and Angelique (Nate) Steen; grandchildren, Ian and Kloe Sheldon, Joshua and Ivee Shuck, Madalynn Booher, and Chrystal Zeissler; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Nancy (Rex Wittenmyer) Rayle and Linda (the late Gary) Collins. Steven was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, David Rayle.
Friends and family may visit today, Thursday, July 7, 2016 from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday in the funeral home with Pastor Martha Gunnoe officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington cemetery with the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad conducting full military rites. Memorial contributions in Steven's name may be made to Cancer Patient Services.
