Terry L. Shelley

Terry Lee Shelley was born on October 8, 1939, to John and Dorothy (Smiley) Shelley and passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2026. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, sibling, and friend.

Terry went to Findlay High School, graduating in 1957. He worked 37 years at Cooper Tire and Rubber Company as a warehouse supervisor. Outside of work and family, he was an avid bowler, serving as an officer in two different leagues. He also loved golf, the Detroit Tigers and Cleveland Browns. He was most proud of his ’57 Chevy.

He leaves behind his wife of 66 years, Barbara (Rutter) Shelley; his daughters, Stephanie Nicholls, Linda Meadows, and son, Terry Lee Jr.; sister, Jackie Magee; grandchildren, Joe,. Jacob, Brandon, Kyla; two great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Terry in death were his parents; sister, Esther Adams; brothers, Dick and Harold; and daughter, Sheila Chatelain.

Terry’s family is planning a Celebration of Life service at College First Church of God, 1100 N. Main St., Findlay on Thursday, September 3 at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or College First Church of God.
