Thelma June Marsden, 99, of Findlay, passed away Friday, November 11, 2016 at Legacy Memory Care at The Heritage. She was born on June 12, 1917 to the late John and Lelia (Bloomer) Thompson in rural Lebanon, Kansas. Thelma married Daniel W. Marsden in 1947 and he preceded her in death.
Thelma was a loving wife and mother. During WWII, she worked for Lockheed in Long Beach, CA assembling planes for the troops. Thelma also helped in the Family Shoe Store, Marsden's Better Footwear, in Whittier, CA.
Thelma is survived by son, John (Becky) Marsden of Independence, MO; daughters, Margaret (Jay) Flemion of Findlay, OH, and JoAnn (Brian) Eldredge of Corning, CA; 4 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Beverly Lynd of Huron, SD. In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by her husband; sister, Martha; and brothers, Wayne, and Lynn.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 21, 2016 at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A private burial will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions in Thelma's name may be made to 50 North Senior Center in Findlay, OH.
