Vincent Mariani

Vincent Biagio Mariani died February 21, 2024, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. He was born in Bridgeport, CT January 23, 1929, to Ferdinand and Irma (Dodi) Mariani. He married Bonnie Kay Kobe on February 11, 1977, and she survives. He was preceded in death by a sister, Pearl Claflin.

Vincent graduated from Auburn High School in Auburn, NY and then Marshall College in Huntington, WV. He proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean War in the aviation division. Vincent worked for 47 years at National Lime and Stone Company as an engineer.

Loving all types of transportation, especially aviation, Vincent was a founding member of the EAA Classic Antique Airplane Division and a member of the Flying Circuits Airplane Club. He restored three full sized airplanes and flew all over the country in his Waco cabin airplane, as well as building many radio-controlled airplanes. He also had two Harley Davidson motorcycles and two Cadillac convertibles. Vincent loved his spaghetti and meatballs and lasagna, along with a glass of wine.

There will be no services at this time. HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, 419-422-1500 is honored to serve Vincent’s family.
