Virginia "Ginger" Markle

Mar 18, 1926 — Oct 3, 2026

Findlay

Virginia “Ginger” Markle, of Findlay, passed away peacefully at Bridge Hospice Care Center at the tender age of 100.

She was born on March 18, 1926, in Creighton, Pennsylvania, to William T. and Mary (Motichka) Malloy. Virginia married her beloved husband, Charles Markle Sr., who preceded her in death.

Virginia was a graduate of Aspinwall High School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was an avid reader and loved to cook and bake, with pies being her specialty. When asked what her secret was to living such a long life, Virginia would simply answer, “Not eating vegetables!” She hated vegetables but certainly loved her sweets.

Those left to cherish Viginia’s memory are her children, Charles Markle, Jr. of Leechburg, PA, and Judith Markle of Sandusky, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by both her parents; siblings, William Malloy Jr., John E. Malloy, Laura Mae Malloy, Dorothy Hanlin, Norman Malloy, Joseph Malloy, and Mary DeThomas.

The family has chosen to honor Virginia’s life privately at a later date.

HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500) is honored to have been entrusted with the care of Virginia and her family.
