Virginia “Ginny” Williamson, 94, of Findlay, formerly of Carey, died November 30, 2024, at 8:07 a.m. at Birchaven Village.
She was born on August 6, 1930, to the late Walter and Mabel (Walter) Boren. She married Jack Williamson on January 24, 1948, and he preceded her in death May 26, 2001, after 53 years of marriage.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathy (Lyle) Kessler of Findlay; son, Daniel (Angela) Williamson of McCutchenville; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren.
Ginny was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Steven Williamson; daughter, Kay (David) Hobbs; grandsons, Douglas Williamson and Kristopher Williamson; her brothers, Donald and Russell Boren; and sister, Carol Norris.
Ginny was a member of Grace Brethren Church and was an avid mall walker. She was a Girl Scout leader at Angeline School for 10 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother that loved doing crafts and welcomed summer visits from all the grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank Ginny’s caregivers at Birchaven Village who showed her love and kindness over the last four months, as well as her two granddaughters, Sarah and Kim, who spent countless hours caring and visiting their grandmother in her final weeks.
Friends and family may visit from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Monday, December 9, 2024, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay, (419-422-1500). A memorial service will be at the conclusion of visitation at 12 p.m. in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ginny’s name may be made to Grace Brethren Church, 209 Lexington Ave., Findlay, OH 45840.
