William Boney

William J. Boney, born February 8, 1934, passed away Friday, June 28, 2024, at the age of 90.

Bill was the son of Hector and Mollie (Scagnetti) Boney. He married Marilyn Gordon on October 13, 1956, and she preceded him in death. They had four children: Stan Boney (Debbie) of Youngstown, OH, Ann (Tom) Drake of Findlay, OH, Brad Boney of Austin, TX, and Jeff Boney of Findlay, OH. There are five grandchildren: Elizabeth Drake, Steven (Meagan) Drake, Mollie Boney, Kaylee Boney, and Kami Boney, and four great-grandchildren: Madeline, Peter and Samuel Drake, and Paisley Fast.

Bill graduated from North Baltimore High School in 1951. He went on to serve two years in the United States Army from 1954-1956. During that time, he was stationed in France for 16 months. He graduated from Findlay College in 1960 with a degree in Business Administration, where he lettered four years in basketball. Bill worked for Marathon Oil Company from 1960 until he retired in 1992 after 32 years of service.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael The Archangel Church, 750 Bright Rd., Findlay, on Friday, July 5, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., with Fr. Adam Hertzfeld presiding. There will be visitation in the church narthex at 10:00 a.m. until the time of mass. Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.
