William "Bill" P. Courtney

William Paul Courtney passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on Friday, May 5, 2023, at Countryside Manor in Fremont. He was born August 20, 1935, in Findlay, to Paul E. and Helen M. (Mohr) Courtney.

Bill was a mason tender and a member of the Laborers Union for several years before retiring. He loved trucks, wrestling, old western movies, and sitting at the bridge on Main Street watching the traffic and enjoying the sound of the water in the river. Bill’s most enjoyment in life was spending time with his family and going to Wilson’s for sugar pie and coffee.

Bill is survived by his sons, Robert, Douglas, and Jason Courtney; 31 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. In addition, he is survived by his brothers, Terry, and Paul Courtney; and sisters, Jo-Ann Siferd, and Nancy Eisamon. William was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends and family may visit from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Monday, May 8, 2023, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay (419-422-1500). Funeral services will follow visitation at 12 noon with Jonathan Wilkins officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arcadia.
