Wilmer Ray Reese Jr, 94, of Findlay, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Fairhaven Community, Upper Sandusky. He was born July 11, 1922 in Jackson, Michigan to the late Wilmer B. Reese Sr. and Alice M. (Williams) Cole. Wilmer married Faye Nivison and she preceded him in death. He later married Leota Bracy and they divorced. Wilmer then married Barb Musgrave and they later divorced.
Wilmer retired as a truck driver after 44 years of service and worked on an Alpaca Farm until he was 81. He proudly served his country in the US Navy Coast Guard from 1942 - 1945 serving in WW II before being honorably discharged. He enjoyed going to the beach and the lake, motor cycles, and classic cars. He liked trains and worked on race cars. Wilmer loved a good hamburger, going to Bob Evans, and loved his coffee and sweets. His favorite NFL Football team was the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Wilmer is survived by his son, Larry (Kay) Reese; daughters, Sherry (Alan) Myers, Patty Smith (fiancé, Dave), Vanesa (Chuck) Houck, Peggy (Brad) Rathburn, Vickie (Denny) Anast, Natalie Reese (fiancé, LeRoy), Kathy (Dave) Dulaney, Cindy (James) Bailey, and Stacey (Michael) Leist. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Wilmer was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Folk, Maxine Kessler, Bonnie Cain, and Patricia M. Cole.
Friends and family may visit on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 26 with Pastor Dave Cass officiating. Interment will follow in Lee Cemetery, Vanlue, Ohio with the Hancock County Veteran's Memorial Squad performing full military rites. Memorial contributions in Wilmer's name may be made to the Charity of the Donor's choice.
