Albert Jay Linhart, 88 of Findlay passed away on May, 21, 2020 at the Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky, OH. He was born on July 3, 1931, in McComb, OH to the late Sherman and Ruthie (Harkness) Linhart. Albert married Margaret Best on April 7, 1959. They shared 64 years of marriage and she survives.
Albert is also survived by sons, Ron (Sheila), Brighton, MI; Steve (Debra), Findlay; and Michael (Robyn), Oak Harbor, daughters: Cathy Linhart and Maria (Larry) Hammond; daughter-in-law, Debbie Linhart, all of Findlay; 13 grandchildren, Ryan, Kevin, Travis, Shawn and Mitchell Linhart, Joseph and Robert Hammond, Nicole Pavey, Katherine Sulek, Kelley Lynch, Stephanie Settlemire, Taylor Miller; 8 Great-Grandchildren, Shy and Oliver Linhart, Chase, Andrew, Sophie and Grace Sulek, and Dylan and Avery Settlemire; brother-in-law, Nobert Frey, Upper Sandusky. In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by his son Kevin, grandson Jeremy and sister and brother-in-law, Rachel (Gene) Stahl, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gene Best, Whitney (Barbara) Best, Carol Frey.
Services for Albert have been changed to receive friends and family on Saturday, August 22nd from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 750 Bright Road, Findlay. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Saturday at the church with Msgr. Michael Hohenbrink as celebrant. After the mass, full military rites will be rendered by the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the family asks all in attendance to wear a mask and practice social distancing. The Funeral Mass will be live video streamed at findlaystmichael.org.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Albert to Findlay St. Michael Archangel School or the Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky, OH.
