Anthony Jay Gossard, 60, of Findlay, peacefully passed away December 27, 2021, at his residence. He was born June 14, 1961, to Carroll and Edna (Burkholder) Gossard in Bluffton, Ohio. Anthony married Sallie Poe-Bolin and they divorced. He then married Carol McGuire and they later divorced.
Anthony was a Findlay High School graduate. He proudly served his country in the US Army with an honorable discharge. He enjoyed fishing, model building, camping, and playing the guitar. Above all, the thing dearest to his heart were his grandchildren and spending time with them.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his parents; his son, Markus Gossard, and his daughters, Taylor (Brandon) Tavenier and Harmonie Poe; six grandchildren, Vivian, Abby, Elijah, John, Brooklynn, and Shane; and four great-grandchildren, Kennedee, Janice, Amari, and Landyn. He is also survived by his brother, Mark Gossard; and sister, Barbara (David) Shelton. Anthony was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Gossard of Austin, Texas.
Friends and family may visit from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). Anthony’s funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. following visitation in the funeral home with Pastor Jim Klausing officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery with the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad conducting full military honors. Memorial contributions in Anthony’s name may be made to the family in c/o Hufford Family Funeral Home.
