Betty Williams Obituary

Betty Lou Williams, 91, of Findlay, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at The Heritage. Born in Hancock County on September 25, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Ferd A. and Anna M. (Duffy) Crow. On July 1st, 1951, Betty married James E. Williams and he preceded her in death.

 

Betty was a volunteer for the Blanchard Valley Hospital Auxiliary, a member of Howard United Methodist Church and Calvary United Methodist Church. She was a Mt. Cory High School graduate and retired from RCA.

 

Betty is survived by her son, Robert L. (Ginger) Williams of Findlay; daughters, Patricia J. (Brad) Heldman of Mt. Cory, Jill D. (Fred) Schmidt of Bluffton, Barbara L. (Rex) Bolenbaugh of Forest; 12 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; sisters-in-law, Rachel Crow, Carol Crow, and Mary Jane Crow. Betty was preceded in death by her brothers, Roy, John, Lyle, and Charles Crow; sisters, Virginia Howell, and Anna Mary Stratton; and a granddaughter, Dolcey Benner.

 

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff at Legacy Lane at The Heritage, nurses, and aides, Dr. Manuel, Abby Allen and Deseree Hansen for their compassionate care during this difficult time. Also a big thank you to Marianne Higley for her friendship and spiritual support of our mother.

 

Friends and family may visit from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at  HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). Funeral services will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 27th with visitation one hour (12:30-1:30 p.m.) prior to the service in the funeral home with Marianne Higley officiating. Interment will follow in Clymer Cemetery. Memorials contributions in Betty’s name may be made to American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association or The Epilepsy Center of Northwest Ohio or to the Autism Society of Northwest Ohio.
