BettyLou E. Roberts

BettyLou Edythe Roberts, age 79, of Van Buren, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on August 7, 2023. BettyLou is now reunited with her beloved husband, Henry R. Roberts, who passed away on January 20, 2012. BettyLou and Henry shared a wonder life together and were married almost 50 years.

BettyLou was born March 16, 1944, in Port Clinton, Ohio to Richard and Cora (Schultz) Witt. She was a Harris Elmore High School graduate, class of 1962. She worked as a Telephone Operator and was a homemaker. BettyLou was a faithful member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Findlay, Ohio, and was involved in many volunteer positions throughout the church. Her favorite hobby was sewing. Her greatest accomplishments in life were connected to her family. She loved them dearly and loved spending time with them.

BettyLou’s blessed legacy includes her loving children, Cindy (Keith) Decker of Findlay, Mike (Jackie) Roberts of Deshler, and Crissy Roberts of Lakeland, Florida; her nine adored grandchildren, and twenty great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Ron (Sharon) Witt of Northwood, Ohio; and sisters, Barb Sobecki of Toledo, Ginger Lehmann of Genoa, and Carolyn Starnes of Oak Harbor; and brother-in-law, John Baer of Curtice, Ohio. Gone before BettyLou are her parents; siblings, Mildred Smith, Alvin Witt, Wilbur Witt, Richard Witt, Ervin Witt, Barbara Ann Elsie Witt, Anna Lane, Karl Witt, Joanne Pettit, and Kate Baer.

Friends and family may visit from 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay (419-422-1500). BettyLou’s funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 16 in the funeral home with one hour of visitation from 12-1 p.m. prior to the service. The Pastor Doris Mars will officiate. Interment will follow in Bechtel Cemetery, Van Buren. Memorial contributions in BettyLou’s name can be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1701 Tiffin Ave., Findlay, Ohio 45840.
