Bonnie Jean Schroen, age 71, of Jenera, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. Born January 12, 1951, in Tiffin, she was the only daughter of Mark and Ethel (Myers) Evans. Bonnie and Roger D. Schroen were married February 12, 1977, and he preceded her in death in 2014.
Bonnie was a Columbian High School graduate. She enjoyed going to the casinos, fishing, drinking a nice cold Diet Pepsi, and loved her lunch outings with her daughter Jill. She was also a big fan of John Wayne, and word search. She also looked forward to spending the summer at her son’s house every year. Above all, Bonnie loved her grandchildren dearly. She loved spending time with them, playing games, attending their school activities, and absolutely loved her canine companion, Odie.
Left to cherish Bonnie’s memory are her children, Mark E. (Jessie) Schroen of Celina, and Jill M. (Christopher) Cascaden of Jenera; nine grandchildren, Mackenzie, Katelynn, and Alexa, all of Jenera, Skyler, Logan, Jacob, and Ava, all of Findlay and Tiffin, Imagene, and Amelia, both of Celina; one brother, Butch Lawson of Bridgeport, Texas; brother-in-law, Marvin Schroen of Findlay; and nieces, Sarah Francis of Findlay, and Angie Holman of Fostoria. In addition to her parents and husband, Bonnie was preceded in death by brother, Edward Evans.
Friends and family may visit Saturday, April 9, 2022, from 9 – 10 a.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). Funeral services for Bonnie will begin at 10 a.m. following visitation in the funeral home with Chaplain Cathy Archer officiating. Interment will follow in Arcardia Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Bonnie’s memory can be made to the family in c/o Hufford Family Funeral Home.
