David Maurice Chevalier, 73, of Tiffin, passed away October 8, 2020 at The Willows at Tiffin. He was born May 6, 1947 in Fostoria to the late Maurice (Imogene) Chevalier and Mae (Kenny) Sauber. He married Marlene Chevalier and later divorced. On November 7, 1980, David was united in marriage to Linda (Askam) and she survives him in Tiffin.
David loved to play softball, enjoyed bowling and golfing, camping and fishing. His greatest enjoyment was attending his grandkids sporting events. David coached little league baseball and umped softball for the 40 and over league. He was also a life member of the Eagles #402 in Tiffin. David loved spending time at the horse track events and casinos.
David is survived by his wife Linda of 39 years; children, David “Dog” (Bonnie) Chevalier, Tammy (Larry) Sheets, Kimberly Payne (Paul Dunn); grandchildren, Daniel, Connor Chevalier, Shellie Guerrero, Robert Payne, Allyssa, Emily Sheets, Audrey Nichols, Thomas Thacker, Linzi Boos; and 12 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by 5 brothers; and 2 sisters. David was preceded in death by sisters, Deb Hendrix, Cindy Dyer; brother, Edward Chevalier; and a granddaughter, Kendall Chevalier.
