Donna Eileen Monday, 88, of Arlington, formerly of Findlay, passed away peacefully Monday, January 23, 2023, in the comfort of her home. She was born May 15, 1934, to the late George and Helen (Daugherty) Gaertner. Donna was the middle child along with four brothers, Charles, Kenneth, Jerry, and Gerald, who preceded her in death. She was married to Donald D. Monday, and they were divorced.
Donna was born in Fostoria and graduated from Arcadia High School in 1952. After graduation, she worked at Marathon Oil Company until she left to raise a family. After her children were grown, she worked at various places of businesses including Findlay High School, Donnell Middle School as their secretary, the Red Cross, and Great Scot Supermarket.
Donna was active at First Baptist Church having served as a primary age Sunday School teacher for 45 years, as church clerk for 25 years, and as a Secretary for a number of years. She was also involved in several other church ministries through the years.
Donna enjoyed her family and was very supportive and in attendance of her children’s and grandchildren’s activities.
Donna is survived by her three children, Pam Kuch of Arlington, Rick (Lisa) Monday of Arlington, and Deb (Todd) Martin of Findlay; grandchildren, Denise (James) Rex, Bethany (Mark) Nessler, Todd (Ellie) Harvey, Erin (DJ) Oravec, Brent (Alexandra) Monday, and Sarah Kuch (Sean Whitta); step grandchildren, Brandon (Georgia) Martin, and Kristi Kohl; ten great-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren and one on the way!
Friends and family may visit from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2023, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay (419-422-1500). Funeral services will follow visitation at 6 p.m. with Pastor Mike Maskell officiating. Interment will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 28 at Knollcrest Cemetery.
