Doris J. Kraus, age 83, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Bridge Hospice and Care Center. She was born in Prestonsburg, Kentucky on August 27, 1939, to Henry and Lucy (Whitaker) Hackworth, and they are both deceased. She was married to David Kraus, and he preceded her in death on December 4, 2013.
Many people enjoyed wonderful meals at the Rose Villa restaurant, which Doris and her husband had owned for 15 years. She was also a realtor. She loved going to auctions and flea markets, but most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.
Doris is survived by her sons, David (Cindy) Kraus, Steven (Debbie) Kraus, Gregory (Renee) Kraus, all of Findlay; her daughter, Lucy Kraus of Denver, Colorado; her beloved grandchildren, Zack (Megan) Kraus, Luke (Madeleine) Kraus, Haven Zink, Haze Kraus, Katelyn (Dr. Rishabh) Jain, Jacob Kraus, Wieler May, Eric (Becky) May; five great-grandchildren; and siblings, William “Brother” Florence Hackworth, Oakie Mae Shell, and Henry (Edith) Hackworth. She was preceded in death by siblings, Judy Watson, Bob Hackworth, Ann “Buck” (Bill) Harmon, Allene (Don) Buess, Josephine Spradlin, and Russell “Red” (Barb) Hackworth.
Friends and family may visit from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2023, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay (419-422-1500).
