Douglas P. Thomas, 64, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2024, at his residence.
Doug was born to Paul and Margaret (Eatherton) Thomas on November 28, 1959, in Findlay. He graduated from Vanlue High School and received his bachelor’s degree from Findlay College. He married Diane on April 8, 1995.
Throughout this career, Doug worked at OHM Corporation, Diamond Savings and Loan, Mt. Blanchard Bank and retired from Marathon Petroleum Corporation as a financial analyst. He was a member of St. Paul’s Church, Theta Chi Fraternity, Indian Lake Eagles 3615, and Indian Lake Moose Lodge 1533. He and Diane enjoyed golfing and boating on Indian Lake on his pontoon boat. He was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, and the University of Findlay Oilers.
Along with his wife and mother, Doug is survived by a brother-in-law, Donald Nelson. He was preceded in death by his father.
Diane and Doug want to thank the entire University of Michigan medical team, including Dr. Oxana Crysler and Dr. Filip Bednar. Also thank you to Dr. Bruce Bouts and the late Dr. Robert Heacock in Findlay.
Friends may visit Wednesday, May 22, 2024, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. and 5:00-7:00 p.m. 45840 at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500). Doug’s funeral service will be Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Church, 218 E. Sandusky St., Findlay. Interment will be on Friday, May 24, 2024, at Cadillac Memorial Gardens, Westland, Michigan.
