Edward Louis Galitza, 84, of Findlay, passed away on Friday, July 9, 2021 at Bridge Hospice Care Center. Ed was born in Bucyrus, Ohio in 1937 to the late Louis and Pearl Galitza.
Ed was a 1960 Ohio State University graduate with a degree in Archaeology. He went on to be a founding member of the Ohio Archaeology Society in Columbus. His interest included excavating prehistoric Ohio Indian sites and studying and writing about the Glacial Cane and Mound Builders. Later, his interest went on to include anything historic related to Cowboys and Indians.
With the help of his father, Louis Galitza, they found and brought in antique log buildings and cabins. This was the beginning formation of what became Ghost Town Museum Park. Ed was the proud owner of Ghost Town for more than 50 years. A few years ago as he aged, he decided to sell it to a friend of his to maintain. Anyone that knew Ed understood his first love was his K9 friends. A dog was always within reach. Ed will be missed by his friends, both human and K9.
Many thanks to neighbors, friends, and Bridge Hospice Care Center for the help in making this journey less painful.
At his request, no service will be held at this time. HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500) has been entrusted with the arrangements.
