Emerson “Emmy” David Brownawell, 80, of Findlay, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020 at The Heritage. Born May 28, 1940 in West Frankford Township, he was the son of the late Clarence E. and Janet M. (Baughman) Brownawell. Emerson and Patricia A. (Weaver) were united in marriage on January 7, 1973 and she survives.
Emmy was a lifelong farmer and retired from the U.S. Postal Service after many years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He also liked to hunt and be outdoors. Helping others was his specialty.
Emmy is survived by his loving wife Pat of 47 years; son, Joseph Brownawell (Jacy England) of Findlay; four grandchildren, Chase Caden, and Carson Brownawell all of Findlay, and Austin Milliken of Landisburg, PA. He is also survived by a sister, Barbara Neal of Carlisle, PA. Emmy was preceded in death by a stepbrother, Lloyd Sheaffer.
Friends and family may visit on Thursday, October 29, 2020 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). Funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. in the funeral home on Thursday with Pastor Jim Klausing officiating. Interment will be held in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle, PA.
