Eugene A. Margraf

Eugene Arthur Margraf, age 90, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 30, 2022, in the comfort of his home with family by his side. He was reunited with his loving wife of 63 years, Carolyn (Flugga) Margraf, who preceded him in death in November 2021. Eugene was born May 2, 1932, in Tiffin, Ohio, to the late Eugene F. and Margret L. (Schultz) Margraf.  

Eugene was a Hopewell Louden High School graduate. He worked at American Telephone Company as a repairman and retired after 33 years of service. Eugene is a US Maine Corps, veteran of the Korean War, who was presented with the Medal of Valor. He was a longtime member of the Amvets, Moose, VFW, and the Korean War Veterans Association.

Eugene is survived by his five daughters, Jennifer Margraf-Pavlidis, Shari (Robert) Burkmier, both of Findlay, Tracy Margraf (Jerry Yost), Lori Margraf (Roger Morgart) of Deltona, Florida, and Kelly Margraf, of Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida; eight grandchildren, Christopher Pavlidis, Eleana Pavlidis, and Alexandros Pavlidis, all of Findlay, Shawn (Serina) Burkmier of Findlay, Andrew Burkmier of Fostoria, Jennifer Burkmier (Ryan Salucci) of Lowell, MA, Shayna Yarbrough of Fostoria, and Patrick Pavlidis of Columbus; two great-grandchildren, Isabella and Jameson Burkmier of Findlay. He is also survived by a sister, Carolyn Hiser of Tiffin. Eugene was preceded in death by a son, Michael Q. Margraf, and grandparents, Jacob, and Katharine Schultz.

Friends and family may visit from 11 A.M. – 1 P.M. Friday, August 5, 2022, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. following visitation with Fr. Peter Grodi officiating. Interment will follow in St. Wendelin Cemetery, Fostoria.
