Frieda Faye (Carroll) Baker, 88, of Westerville, Ohio, passed away October 5, 2021 at Parkside Assisted Living in Westerville, Ohio. She was born April 1, 1933 in Grayson, Kentucky to the late Richard N. and Carrie (Montgomery) Carroll. On July 3rd 1954, Frieda married Kenneth L. Baker and he preceded her in death in 2012. Frieda and Ken were longtime residents of Findlay.
Frieda graduated from Pritchard High School in Kentucky and attended Morehead State University where she earned her Associate’s. As a homemaker, mother, and a wonderful mamaw, she loved to travel, golf, and play bridge. She also enjoyed gardening and making flower arrangements.
Frieda is survived by her sons, David (Natalie) Baker of Bexley, OH, and Ken (Debbie) Baker of Belle Center, OH; six grandchildren, Sarah (Rick) English, Eric (Mandy) Baker, Brett (Lauren) Baker, Kristopher Baker, Maddie Baker, and Tess Baker; eight great-grandchildren, George English, Arlo English, Lucy English, Samantha Baker, Chloe Baker, Margot Baker, Leona Baker, and Sidney Baker. She is also survived by a brother, Dick (Liz) Carroll of Holland, MI; sisters, Ene (Jack) Leonard of Upper Sandusky, OH, Chris (Joe) Diebley of West Independence, OH, Kay (Max) Wagner of Farmland, IN, and Sue (Ray) Wright of San Antonio, TX; her sister-in-law, Karen Everhart; and numerous nieces and nephews. Frieda was preceded in death by a son, Richard Lloyd Baker; sister, Mary Ann Crouch; and brother-in-law, Bill Everhart.
Friends and family may visit 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 8, 2021 at West Independence United Methodist, 22876 US Highway 224, Fostoria, Ohio 44830. Funeral services at the church will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Friday with Pastor Ben Wallick officiating. Interment will follow in Bradner Cemetery.
