Gerald Charles “Chuck” George, age 62, passed away July 11, 2023, at St. Vincent Medical Center. He was born May 16, 1961, in Findlay to Gerald D. and Mary A. (Bish) George.
Chuck graduated from Liberty-Benton High School in 1979. He worked at Meador Trucking, HHWP CAC Headstart, Hancock Senior Transportation, Monaco’s Pizza, Pizza Brother’s, Domino’s Pizza, and Norton Manufacturing in Fostoria. Chuck was a member of the ABATE of Ohio, Inc. (American Bikers Aimed Toward Education) and enjoyed watching the Liberty-Benton High School baseball team. He loved fishing, Harley Davidsons, NASCAR, WWE Wrestling, and cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes! Above all, his love for his grandchildren will live on through their memory.
Chuck is survived by his son Michael J. George (Breanna Pingle); stepdaughter, Jessica Stansbery; grandchildren, Aria George, Aidan George, Blake George, Skylar George, and Braylon Pullom; brother, Dave George (Tracie Glick); sisters, Sue Norris and Mary (Rob) Williams; sister-in-law, Andrea Bish; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his uncle and aunt, Mike and Doris George, and aunt, Charlette Mangio. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Mary; brother, Joe Bish; brother-in-law, Rolland Norris, and uncles, Chuck Mangio, and Joe George.
The family wishes to thank Pastor Denny Maurer and wife Carolyn, Pastor Will Stenke, the congregation at Trinity Lutheran Church, The Heritage staff, and Hanco. We are extremely grateful to all of you for the care, compassion, friendship, and faith you have shared and shown Chuck over the years.
Friends and family may visit from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 17, 2023, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay (419-422-1500). Chuck’s funeral service will follow visitation at 1 p.m. with Pastor Will Stenke officiating. Interment will follow in Knollcrest Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Chuck’s name may be made to a Charity of the Donor’s choice.
