Helen L. Schmidt

Helen Lucille Schmidt, 88, of North Baltimore, passed away peacefully at Briar Hill Nursing Home. She was born May 21, 1934, in Toledo, to Jerry and Isabelle (Wilke) Burkholder. Helen married Donald Schmidt and he preceded her in death.

Helen was a Pandora-Gilboa High School graduate and continued her education where she earned her degree in Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Helen is survived by her two daughters, Vicki Watkins of McComb, and Tina Schey of Findlay; six grandchildren, Corey, Emy, Josh, Lacy, Logan, and Maddie; six great-grandchildren, Joey, Ashley, Erin, Bella, Jax, and Genesis; and two great-great-grandchildren, Kinsley and Reid. In addition to her husband and parents, Helen was preceded in death by daughter, Connie Workman; brother, Tom Burkholder; and grandsons, Sam and Austin.  

Friends and family may visit Saturday, June 11, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). Helen will be laid to rest in Maple Grove Cemetery at a date to be determined. Memorial contributions in Helen’s name may be made to Humane Society & SPCA of Hancock County, 4550 Fostoria Ave., Findlay, Ohio 45840.
