Herb volunteered many years for the Delaware Township Volunteer Fire Department as both a firefighter and a first responder. He valued community and friends and was quick to help anyone in any way he could. You could find Herb at the Northwest Ohio Antique Tractor Show each year, catching up with fellow tractor fanatics. Herb found a passion for woodworking and made many beautiful pieces of furniture, shelves, and ornaments for friends and family. Herb could catch you off guard with his humor and had an ornery twinkle in his eye. Herb was a very kind and loving man who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
The family is having no services. If you would like to make a contribution in Herb’s honor, please direct your memorial to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in honor of his granddaughter at jdrf.org.
