On January 8th, 2021, James Herbert Wittnemyer, of Lexington, Kentucky, passed away at his residence at the age of 65. He was born in Findlay, Ohio on May 6, 1955 to the late John and Janice (Ralston) Wittenmyer.
Jim graduated from McComb High School and went on to attend Asbury College in Wilmore, KY. He worked at the Ohio Bank and Blanchard Valley Hospital before moving to Kentucky. Jim always talked about how he loved Kentucky, the Kentucky derby, and his favorite team, Kentucky Wildcats. Watching and going to games was what he loved. Jim really enjoyed coming home from Kentucky to spend time with his family and friends. Jim was also a member of the Howard United Methodist Church in Findlay.
Jim is survived by two sisters, Jayne Berger, Joyce (Dwight) Motter; two brothers, Jeff (Pam) Wittenmyer, and John (Penny) Wittenmyer; and nine nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a special friend, Barb Cramer; and many special friends in Lexington, KY.
Private family services will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500) with a graveside service in Benton Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Jim’s name may be made to Howard United Methodist Church, 220 Cherry St., Findlay, Ohio 45840.
