Janette A. (Alt) Ruffing

Janette A. Ruffing, 71, of Findlay, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Birchaven Village. She was born April 15, 1950 in Tiffin to the late Justin and Verina (Hepp) Alt.

Janette loved her grandchildren dearly. Not only was she an avid Ohio State football fan, Janette also enjoyed watching other sports like, basketball and baseball.

Janette is survived by her son, John Ruffing of Findlay; daughter, Mary (Ruffing) Courtney of Fostoria; 6 grandchildren, Jason Courtney Jr., Jesse Courtney, Madison Courtney, Trinity Courtney, Gabriel Courtney, and Kalel Courtney. In addition, she is also survived by her brothers, Fr. Ken Alt, Jerry Alt, Will Alt, and Steve Alt. Janette was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Ruffing; and a brother, Mike Alt.

Friends and family may visit from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021 at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). Janette’s funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. following visitation in the funeral home with Fr. Adam Hertzfeld officiating. Interment will follow in Knollcrest Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Janette’s name may be made to Alzheimer’s Association of NW Ohio.
