Janice (Jan) Ann Pevoar, 79, of Findlay, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 28, 2021 at Bridge Hospice Care Center. Born November 12, 1941 in Trenton, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Peter Duffy and Margot (Welter) Philip. In 1961, she married Andrew Pevoar in Wyandotte, Michigan and he preceded her in death.
Jan started her early retail life at Sears in Wyandotte, Michigan. After Jan and Andrew started their lives together, the family moved to Findlay and opened a Dunkin Donuts. While working and helping at the donut shop, she raised four children. Jan also enjoyed managing Jan’s Hallmark and collecting many hallmark items. She was an active member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. Over the years, Jan was a proud member of many organizations, among them Garden Club, Gourmet Meals, and most proud of Habitat for Humanity. In addition, her membership in Zonta, serving as President of the organization. Jan’s greatest joy was baking for the family. Nut rolls, molasses cookies and chocolate chip cookies were some of their all-time favorites!
Jan leaves behind her four children, Tami (Jerry) Buerger; Larry (Michelle) Pevoar; Theresa (Bob) Barber; and Doug Pevoar. She was blessed with six granddaughters, Brynn, Adelae (Blake), Emma, Erin, Elise, and Carma.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 1, 2021 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 750 Bright Rd., Findlay, OH with Fr. Adam Hertzfeld officiating. A time of visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in the St. Michael Catholic Cemetery.
