R. Jeaneen Stepp, 86, of Findlay, passed away Monday, April 11, 2022, at her residence. She was born October 15, 1935, in Marion, Ohio to Carl and Gladys (Boele) Rippey. Jeaneen married Bill Stepp on December 21, 1956, and he preceded her in death.
Bill and Jeaneen co-owned and operated Straley’s Restaurant and Motel for many years. Later, Jeaneen worked as a receptionist at Marathon Oil Company for several years and retired as a greeter from Meijer. She was a woman of faith and attended Arcadia United Methodist Church. Above all, Jeaneen loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Her most joy was attending and supporting her grandchildren’s sporting events and activities.
Jeaneen is survived by her three grandchildren, Jennifer (Charles) Zehender of Findlay, Ashley Mayer of Boise, Idaho, and Jacob (Michele) Kuhlman of Findlay; six great-grandchildren, Noah Kuhlman, Kayleigh Zehender, Justin Zehender, Bexley Mayer, Dax Mayer, Nash Kuhlman, and Vivian Kuhlman. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Tamela Kuhlman; and two sisters, Twila Hazen, and Colleen Kirby.
Friends and family may visit from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2022, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Monday following visitation in the funeral home with Pastor Erma Metzger officiating. Interment will follow in Knollcrest Cemetery.
