On Tuesday, June 21st, John went to meet his heavenly Father at the age of 91 years old. John was born to Floyd “Frenchie” and Monetta (Spitler) Kline on April 9, 1931, in Hoytville, Ohio. In 1950, he married Luella (Sites) and they had two sons.
John was born and raised in Hoytville, Ohio and attended the Jackson Twp. School. He served 3 years in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict aboard the USS Epperson.
For many years, he worked with his friend Bob Hiett, of Bob’s Floor Covering. When Bob retired, John started his own business, Custom Countertops and Floor Coverings. Jon was a member of Findlay First Assembly of God Church.
John was preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Luella in 2019, as well as his sister, Doris (Bob) Van Horn of North Baltimore, Ohio.
John is survived by his two sons, Dallas (Jane) Kline of Van Buren and Edwin (Pamela) Kline. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Stephen Kline of Van Buren, Christopher (Sabrina) Kline of Leipsic, Stephanie (Robert) Bisbee of Arcadia, Bryan, and Taunya; ten great-grandchildren, and six, great-great-grandchildren.
Friends and family may visit from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2022, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 24 in the funeral home with visitation one hour prior (10 – 11 a.m.) to the service. Pastor Glen Hammons will officiate. Interment will follow in Bechtel Cemetery, Van Buren, with the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad conducting full military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in John’s name may be made to Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad, 120 West Front St., Findlay, Ohio 45840.
