Johnny Allen Smith, 63, of Jenera, Ohio, met his Lord and Savior on November 5, 2023, with his loving wife beside him. He was born July 22, 1960, in Findlay, to James and Joanne (Orwick) Smith.
Johnny was a Liberty Benton High School graduate. After high school, Johnny studied diesel mechanics at UNOH in Lima. As a diesel mechanic, he dedicated numerous years of his life to the industry, working diligently for esteemed employers such as Mac and Bob’s in Findlay, Hyway Trucking in Findlay, and Beaverdam Fleet Services. Johnny enjoyed collecting Findlay Glass and antique bottles. He especially loved his cats. Can’t save them all but he tried!
Johnny leaves behind his loving wife, Candy; daughter, Amy Smith; son, Matthew Smith; five grandchildren; and stepson, Michael Sallay. He is also survived by his two sisters, Connie Champion, and Bonnie Stalls; brothers, Jeff, Terry, and Jimmy Smith. He was preceded in death by both parents, and sister, Tammy Shephard.
Friends and family may visit Friday, November 10, 2023, from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay (419-422-1500). The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. following visitation with Pastor James Irven presiding. Memorial contributions in Johnny’s name can be made to Wyandot County Humane Society, 9640 Co Hwy 330, Upper Sandusky, Ohio 43351.
