Linda A. Kisseberth, 78, of Findlay, passed away Friday, September 24, 2021 at the Cleveland Clinic. She was born May 29, 1943 to the late James O. and Della E. (Lessig) Wittenmyer.
On October 15, 1961, Linda married Larry J. Kisseberth who survives along with their children, Jody (Dave) Bixler, Stacy (Tony Hufford) Barnhisel, and Matt (Jessica) Kisseberth; her grandchildren, Jake (Katlyn) and Luke Bixler, Shelby Barnhisel, Bradley, Jennalynn, and Jerzy Kisseberth; her sister, Dolores Swisher; and brother, Michael Wittenmyer; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Hummel; and brother, Stephen Wittenmyer.
Linda graduated from Liberty-Benton High School in 1961. She loved being a stay-at-home mother taking care of the home and caring for her children until they were grown, eventually working at various part-time jobs. She retired as a cook at Liberty-Benton Elementary in 2008. Linda and Larry have been great fans of Liberty-Benton athletics and have attended countless sporting events over the years. Linda especially liked to attend her grandchildren’s games and events. She was an avid reader in her retirement years, and she loved to play Sequence. Linda loved taking trips to the beach and Amish country with Larry and their friends and in-laws. Linda will be remembered by her family for her great cooking and baking abilities. Peach pie was her specialty. Her grandchildren always knew they would find cookies in her cookie jar. Linda was a member of Gateway Church.
Friends and family may visit from 5 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). Visitation will continue on Thursday, September 30th from 10 – 11 a.m. in the funeral home where funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. with Pastor Gregg Fox officiating. Interment will follow in Benton Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Linda’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at: www.stjude.org.
