Margie Wilkins

Margie Lou Heistand Wilkins, age 88, went to her eternal home to be with her Lord Thursday, January 12, 2023, at The Heritage. She was born in Findlay, Ohio July 4, 1934, to William Commadore Heistand and Pheba Dora Grace Wasbro Heistand.

Margie was a graduate of Findlay High School and went to work at Marathon Oil Company after graduating. She left this job upon marring Stanley R. Wilkins on June 10, 1956. Margie and Stanley had two sons, Keith Allen, and Brian Eugene. After raising her boys, she joined her husband working at the family business, Riverside Glass Company, as the bookkeeper. Margie was a lifelong member of College Church of God. She also was a 50-year member of Beta Sigma Phi, IOTAMU chapter. She loved the outdoors and spent many hours with her husband at their woods south of Arlington, Ohio.  

Margie was a faithful servant of God and loved her family.

Margie is survived by her husband, Stanley; two sons, Keith (Peggy), and Brian (Heather) Wilkins, along with her beloved five grandchildren and eight, great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her infant daughter, Lori Jane; her mother and father; and siblings, Ralph, William, Reva, and Viola.

Friends and family may visit from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay (419-422-1500). Funeral services will follow visitation at noon with Pastor Cathy Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Margie’s name may be made to Bridge Home Health & Hospice or The Heritage
