Mary Reeves Obituary

Mary Anne Reeves was born on December 23, 1937 to Peter and Nellie (Mora) Miller in Los Angeles, California. She attended Excelsior High School in Norwalk, California. Mary Anne moved to Findlay many years ago but continued to have strong connections to California. She relocated from Findlay to Leetonia, Ohio after the passing of her husband, Bob.

On May 16, 1959 Mary Anne married Bob Scott Reeves. They gave birth to their first child, son, Randell Scott in February of 1961. This allowed Mary Anne to accomplish what she wanted in life – to love, to be loved, and to have a family of her own. Family was important to her. In November of 1962, Mary Anne and Bob welcomed their second child, daughter, Debora Anne. In September of 1966, they welcomed their third child, daughter, Sheryl Lynne and in September of 1975, they welcomed their fourth and final child, daughter, Robyn Renee. Mary Anne had an incredible love for her children and was passionate about teaching her children to chase and follow their dreams. She was an active member of St. Pancratius Church in Lakewood, California and then an active member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Findlay after her relocation. Mary Anne excelled at propping up her family and supporting the many passions of their lives. She attended baseball games, was a Girl Scout leader for her daughters, and was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She made it her mission to enrich and improve the lives of her family. She was a grandmother to 11 and a great-grandmother to 14.

Mary Anne was a presence in any room and made an impact on the people in her life. She was always wearing colorful sweaters, had a dark full head of hair and was always wearing her favorite scent of perfume, roses.

Mary Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Scott Reeves, her father Peter, her mother Nellie, her sister Jean, her brother Larry and sister Peggy. She is survived by her children, Randell Reeves, daughters Debora Reeves, Sheryl Reffner and Robyn Reeves.
