Phillip Ross Palmer, 80, of Findlay, passed away November 14, 2021, at Bridge Hospice Care Center. Loving husband to Gale of 28 years; father to Greg Palmer (Sharon), and Lisa Palmer Lombardo (Sam); stepfather to Kim and Eric Hornick; grandfather to Samuel, Alexa, Luke, Jacob Lombardo, and Heather Reinhart Elliot (Jerrett); and great-grandson, Jayden Elliott.
November 16th, Phil celebrated his 81st birthday inside Heavens gates, enjoying cake with loved ones gone before him, including his adoptive parents, Daylord and Donna Williams; brothers, Tommy Williams, Jim Palmer; and sisters, Sarah, and Martha Palmer.
Phil never really retired but spent 50+ years working in sales with Findlay area companies like BF Goodrich, Firestone, Goodyear, H&M Motors, and Sparks Commercial Tire because he loved buying and selling cars and tires. To keep busy, he worked another 10 years for Advanced Auto Parts, finally leaving there at age 77.
Some of his favorite pastimes were going to the car races, auctions and garage sales, taking care of his cat Zoie, and taking walks. In addition, Friday dinners at the Findlay Inn, watching Ohio State football, and working in the garage on his latest find. Phil also faithfully attended Findlay Evangelical Free Church.
Phil’s last request, that all those attending wear jeans.
