Reva Ellen Hineland, 84, of Findlay, formerly of Vanlue, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2021 at Good Shepherd Home in Fostoria. She was born July 28, 1936 in Wyandot County, Ohio, the daughter of the late George Willis “Jake” and Alice (Roynon) Smith. On December 30, 1985, Reva and Dwayne Hineland were united in marriage and he survives.
Reva retired from RCA, and was a member of Journey at Christ Methodist Church. She enjoyed making blankets for the church, attending sporting events with her grandchildren, and visiting her longtime friends from RCA on Thursday afternoons. Reva will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Reva is survived by her husband Dwayne; four children, Richard Lee (Wilma) Shockey of Rapid City, South Dakota, Deborah K. Shockey of Daytona Beach, FL., Dianne L. (Craig) Martus of Ocala, FL., Leif (Becky) Coward of Findlay; 12 grandchildren, Amber Shockey, Corey Connors, Chris, and Jeff Farthing, Jacob, Alex, Andrew, Jonah, and Thomas Martus, Kaitlin, Alexis, and Riley Coward; and 4 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 5 siblings, Linden (Betty) Smith, Jane (Claren) Walter, Ronald (Rosalyn) Smith, Carol (Richard) Evans and Richard (Erma) Smith. Reva was preceded in death by a sister, Regina (Ronald) Cook.
Friends and family may visit from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday in the funeral home with Pastor Carol Tumbleson Evans officiating. Interment at a later date in Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Reva’s name may be made to the Humane Society & SPCA of Hancock County, 4550 Fostoria Ave., Findlay, Ohio 45840.
