Richard worked for 30 years, starting at Ford Motor Co. and during his years there made several inventions that Ford patented. Bendix and Honeywell later owned the company.
He was an outdoorsman and avid fisherman. He was very thankful for all his fishing buddies, who he made many good memories with. He was also an excellent bowler, and former Motocross rider, which earned him the nickname, "Two Shoes." He loved Corvettes and Harleys, and got his pilot's license. He always felt "the need for speed!" He also had a very close relationship with his brothers, Terry "Bolt" and Jim "Putter." In their youth, they had many "escapades."
In lieu of COVID-19, there will be no services at this time, but later the family will hold a celebration of life, which is what Dick would want, a party to celebrate his life and memories. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's.
