Sheila Alice Miller, 81, of Findlay, passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side on April 6, 2020 at Bridge Hospice Care Center. She was born on March 24, 1939 in Gardiner, Maine, daughter of the late George Raymond and Sylvia (Beckwith) Baron. On October 1, 1960, Sheila married the love of her life, Rex E. Miller. Together, they shared 59 years of marriage.
Sheila was a graduate of Gardiner High School. While raising her sons, she was a Cub Scout den mother, past member of C.A.S.A. Sheila was founder of “Wind Beneath My Wings” Raptor Education Center, volunteer of the Ottawa Wildlife Refuge and Hancock County Park District and Ohio Division of Wildlife. Sheila enjoyed reading, jigsaw puzzles, writing poetry and loved spending her time with family and nature. She was also a member of Fostoria Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband Rex, Sheila is survived by her sons, Brent (Laurie) Miller of Cary, NC and Shawn (Alyssa) Miller of Fostoria, OH; grandchildren, Benjamin and Andrew of Raleigh, NC, Devin and Noah of Fostoria. She was preceded in death by five brothers.
At Sheila’s request, no service will be held. Interment will be in Bechtel Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions in Sheila’s memory may be made to City Mission of Findlay, 510 W.
