Shirley Ann Dewese, 83 years of age, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay, surrounded by her family. She was born July 24, 1938 in Sterling, IL to the late Edwin and Mabel Fransen. She was the oldest of 9 children.
Shirley married her husband, Kenneth Dewese, on May 31, 1959 and he survives along with their four children, Rebecca Adkins of Findlay, Deborah (Michael) Ramirez of Cleveland, Kristine (Greg) Cooper of Van Buren, and Jamie (Angie) Dewese of Fremont. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Shirley always enjoyed teaching children. She was a Sunday school teacher and also spent several years as a Kindergarten teacher at Hope Temple Christian School in the early 1980’s. Shirley, above all else, loved the Lord with all her heart and often went out of her way to give words of encouragement to many. She never knew a stranger where she didn’t ask them if they knew Jesus. She loved people in general. She loved to sing and was a choir director at a church she and Kenneth attended early in their marriage. Shirley was a strong and caring woman who impacted many lives for the kingdom of God over the course of her life. Kenneth and Shirley were members of the Upper Room Church of God.
