Thomas “Tom” Alan Neff, 71, rejoiced with his Heavenly Father on March 11, 2021 after passing away at his home in Findlay, Ohio. He was born on September 16, 1949 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Max Robert and Phyllis Jean (Minier) Neff.
Tom graduated from Bluffton College in 1995, with his Bachelor of Education degree. He retired from Kohl’s Distribution Center in 2019 with over 20 years of total service. Tom was an active member of First United Brethren Church in Findlay for many years. He became an elder of the church in 2014. As an elder he provided comfort to members of the congregation and occasionally preached sermons during services. Tom was also the Christian Ed Director at First United Brethren. One of his favorite responsibilities as Christian Ed Director was working on and being part of the yearly Vacation Bible School. Outside of his church activities, he enjoyed painting and spending time with his family. Tom loved being a grandfather.
Tom is survived by his children, Dinah (Ben) Thomas of Lilburn, Georgia, Sarah Neff of Lima, Ohio, Benjamin (Michelle) Neff of Celina, Ohio, and Rachel Neff of Elida, Ohio; and sister, Karen (Ed) Byer of New Haven, Indiana. He was blessed with six grandchildren, Josiah, Julia, Anna, and Andrew Neff of Celina, Kaitlin and LillyAnn of Lilburn, Georgia.
Friends and family may visit from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at First United Brethren Church, 629 Rector Ave., Findlay, Ohio 45840. Tom’s Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church with Pastor Darwin Dutton officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500) has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial contributions in Tom’s name may be made to First United Brethren Church in Findlay, Ohio.
