Wilbur P. Gilliland

Wilbur Pearl Gilliland, age 88, of Fostoria, entered eternal rest on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home. He was born June 18, 1933, in Risingsun to Pearl and Aretha (Kerr) Gilliland. On June 23, 1955, Wilbur married Janet Stahl and she preceded him in death.

Wilbur graduated from Risingsun High School. He then enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served during the Korean War. In later years, Wilbur owned and operated his own roofing company, Gilliland & Son Roofing.

Wilbur is survived by two sons, Mark (Kelli) Gilliland of Risingsun, and Steve (Carie) Gilliland of Arcadia; five grandchildren, Danielle, Josh, Alexa, Jacob, and Taylor; five great-grandchildren, Madilynn, Dawson, Delylah, Crew, and Braedon. In addition to his wife and parents, He was preceded in death by a daughter, Belinda Ann Gilliland; brothers, Walt, Accel, Darrel, Stan, and Ronnie; and sisters, Virginia, and Idella.

Friends and family may visit from 5 – 8 p.m. Thursday, April 28, 2022, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500). Interment at Graham Cemetery, Wayne, Ohio, will be private. Memorial contributions in Wilbur’s name may be made to Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad, 120 West Front St., Findlay, Ohio 45840.
